Coris dunThalen was once an Elvish paladin. At the end of his life, he gave an oath to continue to guard The Three Meridians, or what is now the area encompassing Waste's Edge, Arynsval, the Abbey of Shining Mist (and Dun Thalendu beneath it), and the ruins of Dun Barethsol.

Coris dunThalen's spirit now rests in the Paladin's Grotto.
