Uz of the Bay is the second capital city built by the Uzian people. The first they call Ner-Uz, meaning "First Uz". Ner-Uz was destroyed by Elves during the Great Wars. Its remains can be found at the bottom of the Bay.

At the time Ner-Uz was the capital, the Uzians did not rule the shores of the bay absolutely. Other smaller cities also maintained ports and claimed fishing rights. As a result of the Wars, these small city-states were all destroyed. The Uzians are now the masters of the Great Northern Bay.

They symbolize this mastery - and the loss of their first city - by minting their coins with a hole in the center.
