Quests:Dun Barethsol:Pralines and Sweetmeats

Risartus Solmanus' cousin Tinuv Cerfus is a pastry chef turned praline merchant who now sells his wares up and down the Elenstroem River. Of late, however, he has been robbed when trying to deliver pralines to Albrecht's Hunting Castle. He has complained to Talan and Jelom, but they cannot find any clues.

Talan would like Marcella to keep her eyes open for any new clues. Jelom just wants the matter dealt so he can take his share of the credit. Tinuv Cerfus approaches her, offering a share of the praline's selling price if she will just get them to their destination safely.

If Marcella agrees to deliver the pralines to the Hunting castle, she will be attacked on the way. A ranger will come to her aid, and after driving the robbers off, he will ask Marcella about her business. If she tells him the merchant’s story, his suspicion will fall on Elgar Basil, the dockmaster. He’ll tell her that Elgar is a shady type, somehow associated with the Men of Knife. Then he leaves her alone. When Marcella returns to Waste’s Edge, she may get the guards to search the dockmaster’s office. There they’ll find some pralines of earlier shipments and a few other things that have gone missing around Waste’s Edge.

If Marcella brings the thief to justice, she may be offered membership in the Wyvern Guard. Completing the Pralines and Sweetmeats quest partially fulfills the requirements of the Champion's Charge quest.
