Quests:Dun Barethsol:Champion's Charge

If the player wishes to become a member of the Waste's Edge town guard, she must accept the Champion's Charge: To defend the Law and Lands of the Wyvern by bringing criminals to justice and by defending the people and their land against Evil.

There are two primary ways to do this: Bring Alek Endhelm to justice and bring the Praline Thief to Justice. If there are other crimes to be solved, the player should try to solve them as well.

In order to join the guard, the player must be train to be a fighter. The player can do this by challenging the Bladespectre or one of the guards to single combat, or by becoming a fighter in some other way.

This quest sets up some of the meaning behind the Champion's Fall sub-quest, as Talan and Jelom will explain that Erinsford is called the Champion's Duchy because its Lords, even Fair Elissathal, have defended the land and its people with their lives.
