Thorig Axehaft sends Ynar Hammerhand, a middle-aged Dwarf with a talent for haggling, to find an adventurer. Ynar is given an ornate ring to give to the Human as a token. Ynar, like most of the other Dwarves in Uzdun'kal, wants the matter settled soon, but he is not to recruit anyone associated with Elves or Half-Elves. The council is adamant about finding a Human to help, so Ynar ignores the possibility of recruiting a ranger.
Ynar has some of Thorig's talent for politeness toward outsiders. Repeated, needless inquiry into the matter of Bjarn Fingolson will tax his patience, however. Such is the case with all the Dwarves to be found in Uzdun'kal.
