Characters:Adonthell:Lyanna
Lyanna Brookshine
Lyanna is a quite energetic girl about 18 years old in human terms. She has a highly developed sense of justice, although her method of communicating her ideals is usually violent. Lyanna has been able to prevent being victimized the way many Half-Elf girls are by learning to fight at an early age, and becoming involved with a local gang of other dispossessed youths. She and her group generally do little more than hang around the streets and get in occasional petty fights, so they aren't really more than a nuisance to others. Desipite this, Lyanna is a bit of a maverick in her set, tending to take vigilante action against those she feels are hurting the weak and innocent. Lyanna is a good girl at heart, and she realizes deep down that this is not the life for her. Simply put, Lyanna is a girl with a good heart who doesn't have a place to put it to use.
Introductory Plot
The story begins on a dirty back street of Cirdanth. The leader of a small gang, Lyanna, has just been challenged to a fight by the leader of a rival gang. [It should be noted that these are not terribly bad gangs in general, not like the modern day] It seems that Lyanna had interrupted some members when they had tried to taunt an old man, and they wanted to get back at her. Lyanna accepts the challenge and receives advice from her fellow gang members on good moves to use (instructions for the player). Lyanna fights and wins, telling her opponent that he should stop picking on people who have nothing to do with them. Lyanna shows that she will not stand for people victimizing the weak. Just then, the City Guard arrives, chasing off all the others but catching Lyanna. An old member of the Guard (the same one who appears in Kalan's scenario) takes her aside and warns her that if she continues the way she is, she'll find herself in serious trouble. He sees that she has a good heart, but she has nowhere to focus her boundless energy, so he suggests that she try for the party the Council is assembling. Lyanna, given the choice, decides to go and rudely takes off, but stops and turns at the last minute. She thanks the Guard for his kindness before running off again.
