Andreah Lorenth

Andreah is a young woman convinced of the superiority of her race. She believes that Elves and Half-Elves are responsible for the fact that Humans in general and her parents in particular have not risen to greater prominence. Her father is a moderately successful but increasingly frustrated merchant in Cirdanth. She wishes to prove the worth of her kin.

Introductory Plot

The story begins in Andreah's home, where she appears to be having a fairly ordinary day. She does the normal things a young woman would do, not making any special mention of other races. She leaves the house and as she moves down the street she is ambushed by a group of half-elves who, needless to say, don't like her. They accuse her of being against elves and half-elves, to which she agrees, stating that humans are better than elves and deserve to rule the world. The situation degenerates into a fight, which she wins with the encouragement of some Friends who have arrived to help. After the fight, Andreah realizes that this is no way to convince anyone, and upon hearing about the elven Council's search, is determined to make the attempt and prove just how good humans are.
