Rules:Equipment Sets
Overview
The rules governing equipment sets are now only vaguely defined, but there are a few statements that we can safely make.
The first 'rule' is that monks, regardless of race or alignment, do not wear metallic armour or wield metallic weapons (with the exception of the metallic points on bows). They are constrained by their oaths of simplicity to bear only organic armours and weaponry. Even Dwarvish monks, such as they are, are bound by these rules.
The second 'rule' is that thieves, assassins, and even some rangers cannot wear heavy armours without incurring a penalty to their move silently skills.
