These creatures are a wicked mixture of Elvish and avian stock. Like Elves, they are capable of casting elemental spells. Those without innate casting ability (lost through inter-mixture with birds) use magically imbued weapons - bows which fire lightning, hammers which strike like falling mountains or extreme heat, etc. They are divided by clans. They have their own peculiar, twisted sense of honor. Trespassing on a clan's mountain-top territories is a good way to get oneself killed. Each clan possesses a different mixture of elemental skills. The clans are constantly at war with one another, though it would be hard to describe the network of alliances and oathbonds which restrict and perpetuate the fighting.

Only one of these clans is of good alignment. They are referred to as the Tikvaquali - the Wings of Hope.
