Tailbiter is Lareth dunTelro's signature weapon. It is a short-handled bardiche that strongly reminds some people of a fox's tail. Lareth has specially weighted the butt of Tailbiter's shaft so that the weapon retains its balance. It is a two-handed polearm, so it does provide some bonuses to parry. Because of its heft and short shaft, it does not provide as much of a bonus to parry as would a standard long polearm. Lareth has no skill in alchemy, so his combat style is built on the strength, speed, and resiliency bestowed on him by songs and chants.
