The Free Lancers are a group of northern-born human warriors and explorers for hire. As such, they have a tendency to banditry and other less savory pursuits. Some, however, are essentially good, if not necessarily law-abiding. Many parties in the second and third migrations were accompanied by Free Lancers and their family members.
