I am wondering how the item namespace should be organized. I am unsure whether we should use a long list of individual files for all the variations on a specific kind of weapon, or use a basic article for each type of weapon - dagger, sword, bow, spear, etc - and include all variations of type and construction in subsections of that base article.

That makes the most sense, I think. We can also add links to artifacts of the same category.
